Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, intermittent freshwater marshes, plantations, heavily degraded former forest, ponds, and canals and ditches. It is threatened by habitat loss.
