Metopium brownei (also known as chechem, chechen, or black poisonwood) is a species of plant in the Anacardiaceae family. It is found in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jamaica, northern Guatemala, Belize, Bonaire, Curacao, Aruba(rare) and from the Yucatán to Veracruz in Mexico.
