About

Quercus ajoensis is an uncommon North American shrub with the common name Ajo Mountain scrub oak. It has been found in Arizona and Baja California Sur. There are some reports of the species in southern New Mexico, the populations there intergrading with the related Q. toumeyi. Similarly, some collections from Utah seem to be intergradations between Q. ajoensis and either Q. turbinella or Q. gambelii.
